King's Casino Brings Poker Back to Europe with Exciting New Calendar

Kings Casino

While the world struggles to adjust to the post-COVID19 world, the King's Resort in Rozvadov, Czech Republic, is back with an exciting new calendar that promises to deliver the best live poker action of the summer.

From a mind-blowing €100k buy-in two-day PLO HIGHROLLER kicking off on Saturday, June 20, to an impressive lineup of poker festivals, the largest poker room in Europe aims to distribute over €1,2m in guarantees during the course of the next two months.

The news of the new event-packed calendar came right as the country decided to relax its lockdown policies. The Czech Republic now allows many European citizens to enter the country with no need for tests or quarantine.

This is the first time players from countries as Germany, Italy, Austria, Poland, Hungary, France, the Netherlands and more can get back to enjoy King's finest poker action since the establishment started to reduce its operations on March 3.

King's PLO High Roller (June 20-21)

We have all been itching to get back to the poker tables since the pandemic forced many casinos to halt their operations. While most online poker sites managed to keep the community busy with impressive online series, the complete absence of top-level live poker action has been suffered by many.

That's why we are happy to announce that some of the biggest names in the game have already confirmed their intention to join the King's PLO High Roller event running at King's on June 20-21.

Featuring a €2,5k buy-in and unlimited re-entries, this two-day tournament will heat up the action to get poker fans and players in the mood for the first of the many poker festivals on the schedule, the Balkan Poker Circuit.

And the lineup of the names that are already confirmed is not one to be taken lightly.

Amongst the attendees that a representative from King's confirmed to PokerNews on Sunday, are former professional footballer Sergej Barbarez, 2019 WSOPE bracelet winner Besim Hot, Slovakia's second-largest tournament winner Marek Blasko, and Austria's hero (and King's aficionado) Harry Casagrande.

While it's not yet confirmed if King's patron Leon Tsoukernik will be there himself to join the field, we wouldn't be surprised if the man who turned a swamp into one of the world's top poker destinations decided to enter the event and fight for the title.

The Invitational tournament (June 19-20)

Right as everyone will be battling in the €2,5k PLO Highroller, the VIP’s and King’s friends will battle in the €5k invitational tournament with the same €100k prize pool.

The Holdem action Invitational will start prior to the PLO Highroller and will give the chance to all participants to also give their go in the following same-guarantee tournament PLO Highroller.

Stay tuned here on PokerNews to be the first one to follow the action!

How to Follow the PLO High Roller Online

Being present at the casino is still the best way to follow the event and, if you can do that, you should go to King's to see everything with your own eyes and join the tournaments and cash games that will keep King's busy during the next weekend.

But if you can't travel, not all is lost. You'll have the opportunity to be in the front seat and enjoy King's celebration of poker also if you can't get there in person.

The entire event will be available in live stream on the casino's official channels and it will mark the return of the PokerNews Live Reporting team to a poker event since the explosion of the pandemic.

PokerNews' own Christian Zetzsche will arrive at King's already on Friday, June 19, to report from the event and make everyone follow the action with the best poker updates in the industry.

Stay tuned and keep following PokerNews to know more about the action at the table and learn from Christian's eyes what playing live poker is after the COVID 19 shock.

The survivors will then continue their (poker) battle on Saturday and Sunday when a winner will leave the casino with the top prize, one entry to the 2020 WSOPE, and the champion's crown.

Deutsche Poker Tour (July 30 - August 2)

DPT

The last event in July is the Deutsche Poker Tour (DTP), another that is sure to attract a significant crowd of players from Czech Republic's neighbouring country.

Once again, those at King's will play for a massive €200k guarantee and two WSOPE entries in a €150 buy-in Main Event running between Thursday, July 30 and Sunday, August 2, 2020.

This time, the tournament will feature six starting flights (Thursday through Sunday evening) and one final day on Sunday evening.
