New restrictions in Pennsylvania to curb the spread of COVID-19 took effect at 12:01 a.m. Saturday and will continue through 8 a.m. on Jan. 4.
Those restrictions include a ban on indoor dining at restaurants in the commonwealth, though outdoor dining and takeout will be allowed.

A restriction that may affect holiday gatherings is a 10-person limit on indoor gatherings. Outdoor gatherings are limited to 50 people.
In-person businesses can operate at 50% capacity.
Gyms cannot operate indoors and entertainment venues such as movie theaters, casinos, museums and bowling alleys cannot operate.
In-person extracurricular school activities and K-12 sports have been put on hold.
