Three men from Maryland face charges after one lunged over a dealer's table at Hollywood Casino York and stole $17,000 worth of chips, some of which were later cashed in, according to court records.

Pennsylvania State Police said a man entered the casino in Springettsbury Township on the morning of Nov. 24, 2024 and sat down at a blackjack gaming table. He watched the game but did not buy in, according to an affidavit of probable cause.

Minutes later, the man lunged over the gaming table, grabbed gaming chips from the dealer's case, and ran out of the casino, the affidavit states. Surveillance video showed the man getting in a gray Ford Explorer, which then left the property.

State police said the stolen purple gaming chips, valued at $500 apiece, totaled about $17,000.

Several hours later, state police allege Antonio R. Jackson bought into a craps game with one purple chip at the casino. He did not receive any purple chips during his play, state police allege, but he continued to gamble and cashed out multiple times. In the process, he redeemed five additional purple chips.

The following day, Anthony Paye went to the casino and redeemed two purple chips. He also bought in with three chips at a craps table, state police allege.

On Nov. 26, 2024, Jackson returned to the casino and allegedly attempted to buy into a blackjack game with two purple chips, the affidavit states. The casino confiscated the chips pending a review.

Then on Dec. 4, 2024, state police allege Paye tried to cash out a purple chip, but the casino confiscated it because of the ongoing investigation, the affidavit states. He had provided an operator's identification card, which security could see through surveillance. Paye left in a gray Ford Explorer, the same vehicle used during the theft of the chips.

State police respond to robbery at casino in Dauphin County

In the early morning hours of Dec. 7, 2024, Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course in Dauphin County notified state police about a robbery that had just occurred, the affidavit states. A man, who police later identified as Macy Wyatt Wilson, forcibly removed chips from a table and ran out the bus entrance into a parking garage. He got into a gray Ford Explorer with a Pennsylvania registration, and it left the property.

Police began to patrol the area, looking for the SUV, which had a dent in the tailgate, chips in the front hood, and dirty front wheels, the affidavit states. It was on a watch list for other casino thefts, and officers were warned that the registration on the vehicle might be different if they see it.

Officers spotted an SUV that matched the description with California dealer tags parked at a hotel a short distance away from the casino, the affidavit states.

While a trooper was inside the hotel lobby to see if he could find out which room the suspects were in, a man, who was wearing a jacket that matched a description given in the theft case, caught his attention. The trooper stopped the man, identified as Wilson, and questioned him.

Wilson allowed state police to enter the hotel room that was booked by Jackson, the affidavit states. A set of keys rested on the desktop, and the trooper hit the panic button on it. The lights blinked and the horn sounded on the gray Ford Explorer in the parking lot.

State police took Wilson into custody and seized evidence in the room. Authorities also had the SUV, registered to Paye, towed from the parking lot, the affidavit states.

During questioning, Wilson allegedly told state police that he was supposed to receive 25% of what he was able to grab at the casino, the affidavit states. He also said "he was caught and charged approx. three years ago in Maryland for doing the same thing."
