TUCSON, Ariz. (KVOA) - The Pascua Yaqui Tribe has announced a full-scale emergency response exercise scheduled for Thursday, April 17, 2025, from 6 a.m. to 4 p.m. This exercise will take place on the Casino Del Sol property and is closed to the public.

The event involves Pascua Yaqui Law Enforcement, Pascua Pueblo Fire Department, Office of Emergency Management, and Casino Del Sol, alongside other agencies such as the Pima County Sheriff’s Department, Arizona Rangers, and Drexel Heights Fire District. Students from Sahuarita and Walden Grove High Schools will also participate as volunteers.

Residents and patrons at Casino Del Sol RV Resort will notice an increased presence of public safety personnel, which is part of the exercise and not an actual emergency.

“We thank you for your understanding and support as we continue to strengthen our emergency preparedness and response efforts,” said the Pascua Yaqui Tribe Office of Emergency Management.
